All The Fun of The Eco Fair
February 28th, 2008The Spring Green Eco Fair
After the success of the Green Christmas Fair, GreenFinder is pleased to announce that they will be hosting their second event on Saturday 12th April. The Spring Green Eco Fair will take place at the Dale Street Methodist Church, Leamington Spa from 11-3.
Visitors will be able to access a wide range of information about green living with both local green businesses and environmental groups exhibiting at the show. Along with eco friendly, organic and fair trade stalls there will also be information points where the public can seek advice about energy saving, recycling and reducing their carbon footprint. There will also be a mini farmers market within the fair and face painting and educational activities for children and natural beauty treatments.
An Eco-Interactive Afternoon
GreenFinder founder and event organiser Kate Haines is keen that the event is interactive and fun for all visitors. She said “There are still quite a few myths out there about green and sustainable living and I’m keen to dispel them. I’m hoping we will attract people to the event who are just beginning to take an interest in green living and are taking their first faltering steps towards a green lifestyle as well as the fully fledged environmentalists wishing to learn more about the eco projects and environmental organisations in the area”
To encourage visitors to travel sustainably, those travelling to the event by bicycle will be offered a free Dr Bike service from Action 21’s team of bicycle technicians. There will also be a clothes swap where people can recycle their clothes and shoes.
