EcoSac
September 1st, 2007Established for 5 years, Ecosac Ltd has successfully marketed a range of Ecosac® bags, sacks and carrier bags throughout the UK and Eire. Made from GM-free Mater-Bi™ cornstarch biopolymer they are accredited as being fully biodegradable and compostable and used extensively by Councils, waste management companies and community groups as part of their waste minimisation and recycling programmes.
The Bio.Box® kitchen caddy system was recently added to the product range. This unique and attractive foodwaste collection bin includes Ecosac® liners which can be disposed of safely into a home composter . Its ability to ‘breathe’ allows the contents to dry out, eliminating odours and wetness, keeping the liner dry and strong. Bio.Box® is a cost - effective method of collecting foodwaste in the kitchen cleanly and efficiently.
The new Q Range of waste kerbside foodwaste collection bins features a unique rapid click-lock system. Unlike fiddly handles and other locking devices, these units - resistant to vermin and other pests - allow for easy single-handed emptying, making for reductions in lifting times, increased collection efficiency and reduced labour costs. Made from recyclable plastic, Q Bins are sturdy and lightweight, easy to handle and with a durable grip. With capacities of 16, 20 and 25 litre, all these features and available in blue / grey / green / brown and red the Q Range is very competitively priced compared to ordinary collection bins.
We also provide biodegradable utensils and cutlery. EcoZema®, is an entirely new range of disposable, compostable culinary products – knives, forks, spoons, plates and cups. Plates and cups are made from natural fibres and the cutlery from Mater-Bi™ cornstarch biopolymer. The effect is that, at the end of it’s use, no separation from foodwaste due for composting is necessary, helping the environment and saving on labour and high landfill costs.
