Green Girls Global

April 8th, 2007

Green Girls Global is a new international weblog where various ‘editors’ from a variety of different places with diverse experiences, skills and interests discuss a number of ‘green’ topics. The weblog includes personal accounts of how such ‘editors’ attempt to lead their lives in a way which has a positive impact on the environment, people and animals. Discussions on Green Girls Global cover a wider spectrum of green issues and themes such as recycling, marine conservation and farmers markets to name but a few.

The idea of Green Girls Global came about in September 2006 when Vicky, one of the ‘editors’ of the fantastic City Hippy blog heard the news that City Hippy would sadly be no more. Determined to not let the City Hippy spirit die and inspired by its founder, Al Tepper, the ‘editors’ decided to continue with a brand new blog. By coincidence the founding ‘editors’ were all women, hence the name - Green Girls Global. The blog was set up and is coordinated and managed by Vicky Stevens from the ethical web design company Make Hay Ethical Media.
