Sustainable Clothing With A Difference:Introducing The Spud Coat
January 2nd, 2010The greenest raincoat award must surely go to the new Spud Coat. Made from bioplastic which is derived from potato starch and other natural resources it’s the perfect companion on a rainy day out or for those wet summer festivals.
The spud coat is 100% biodegradable and compostable and even has a small clay ball with seeds in it so that once it’s life cycle is over it can be buried in the ground and hey presto the seeds will grow into plants. There’s no need for this item of clothing to end up in landfill-simply bury after use.
