Green Policies
We have developed an environmental policy statement in partnership with Wastecycle which involves a commitment to reducing the amount of waste being landfilled. We practice 100% office waste recycling and use energy in the office efficiently. Increasing our use of secure, electronic systems (such as payroll software) has allowed us to also reduce the amount of initial paper consumption.
We are committed to enhancing our environmental performance and will continually measure and monitor standards and implement improvements whilst ensuring that all personnel are trained and aware of environmental issues and the environmental impact of their activities.
From an ethical perspective: Over 10 years ago we agreed to adhere to the Amnesty International’s Code of Conduct which is still relevant today. This policy outlines company responsibilities for promoting and upholding human rights standards. Specifically we never outsource work outside of DK Rumsby & Co Ltd to exploited workers in poor countries. We support a school in Romania which is a part of a charity working to provide education and opportunities to underprivileged children. Closer to home we support the Gedling Fairtrade Group and always buy Fairtrade tea and coffee.
