A Centre For Sustainable Living In The Heart Of Dorset
As an alternative school and then an Educational Centre for Sustainable Living, Monkton Wyld Court has for the past 70 years maintained the importance of farming and other practical skills and a focus on renewable energy as central to its ethos. Today Monkton hosts a range of courses, conferences and gatherings for adults, families and children, and is home to a Steiner-based kindergarten. From bee-keeping to yoga, Monkton promotes low-impact, earth-centred skills for changing modern life. Family weeks with themes like Bushcraft and Fossil-hunting are especially popular, and our permaculture courses are led by specialists of international renown.

The Sustainability Centre is situated on top of the South Downs, three miles south of the picturesque village of East Meon. The centre offers a range of activities including community support, courses and conferences for adults, childrens events, hostel accommodation, camping and South Downs walking.
