Green Policies

We believe great design is green design. With the technology, materials and knowledge available today, there is no excuse for environmentally damaging products. You can be a part of a greener world too by choosing to shop with Pure Design. To guide our work and that of our designers we have set out the following values:

To sell products made from ecologically friendly materials This includes materials that are from sustainable resources and recycled materials. We also encourage designers to use bi-products from industry. This way we can actively reduce the amount of waste that would otherwise be sent to UK landfills.

To limit the environmental impact of transportation and production of the products we sell We achieve this through a number of steps. These include; asking designers to limit the mileage between where they source materials and manufacture their products. In those instances when materials cannot be sourced locally, we ask Designers to use the most eco-friendly method of transporting the materials available to them, e.g. using a carbon neutral courier, or using rail as opposed to road.
