Ideally situated just three miles from southwest Dorset’s stunning Jurassic coast, Monkton Wyld Court is a beautiful 35-bed Victorian neo-Gothic rectory set in eleven acres of grounds. An environmental education centre hosting residential courses throughout the year, we also offer B&B, half and full-board accommodation as well as venue bookings and weekend retreats. Our walled kitchen garden, terraced lawns, woods and stream enhance the area’s natural charm. Explore the grounds or stroll further afield through country paths and meadows to the seaside at Lyme Regis or Golden Cap. Children and adults alike can enjoy fossil hunting, wildlife spotting or just taking in the beautiful views.

Green Policies

Monkton Wyld Court is committed to continuing efforts to provide an example and experience of more sustainable living for guests and volunteers. We use solar power and are working to develop an affordable and environmentally sound heating system for our buildings. Our UV-filtered well water is delicious and we have a unique reedbed sewage system. We use only natural cleaning products wherever possible. Meals are beautifully prepared in the house kitchen using fresh ingredients from the walled garden and other local organic producers, as well as eggs from our own chickens. We choose local, organic, fair trade, recyclable and/or compostable products whenever possible and urge our visitors to do the same.
